That Instagram barber with 100k followers bragging about his hot towel routine

I overheard him say he uses the same towel on five clients in a row and calls it efficiency, which made me wonder who hurt this guy and how many people are walking around with some kind of scalp fungus because of that nonsense, so has anyone else seen barbers cutting corners like this on social media?

A friend of mine went to a trendy shop like that and ended up with a nasty staph infection on his neck that took weeks to clear up. The barber never even mentioned using clean towels, just kept grabbing from the same pile and wrapping them around people's heads. He switched to a little old-timer barber after that and hasn't had a problem since.

The whole "same pile" thing really gets under my skin. Here's the angle nobody is talking about, that friend probably paid a premium at that trendy shop thinking they were getting something fancy, but those high prices don't guarantee cleanliness. You could be paying sixty bucks for a haircut and still end up with a barber who's just reusing the same crusty towel on everyone. Meanwhile, that old timer charging fifteen bucks is boiling his linens in bleach water because he actually respects the craft. Why do we let social media followers distract us from basic hygiene?

Right about the price thing not meaning clean barbers. But I gotta say, boiling linens in bleach water isn't actually a thing. Bleach mixed with hot water works fine for sanitizing, but boiling everything would wreck the fabric and take forever. That old timer is more likely using a barbicide soak or a hot water bleach solution, not literally boiling his towels like a pot of spaghetti.
