A retired framer in Boise showed me his trick for finding studs with just a finishing nail.

He said to tap the nail lightly along the wall until you feel the pitch change, then mark it, which saved me a ton of time on a trim job last month (and saved the drywall from my usual probe holes).

They miss the whole point about the gray areas in justice, focusing only on the chase. I had to pull out the manga panel where Tenma questions his own actions to show them. Does anyone else find people miss the deeper themes in slower anime?

Pro tip: I was convinced air fryer salmon would be dry until my neighbor in apartment 4B made some with a teaspoon of mayo on top, which kept it super moist and flaky.

Changed my mind about using vinegar to clean my garden tools

Always soaked my rusty trowel and shears in a vinegar bath for a full day. My neighbor in Oak Creek said the acid weakens the metal over time. Now I just scrub with a paste of baking soda and water, takes maybe 15 minutes. Anyone have a better rust fix for old iron tools?

I swore off using a power hammer for scrollwork until a custom gate job in Austin changed my mind.

The client wanted over 50 matching, tight scrolls for a fence, and I figured I'd just muscle through it with the hand hammer. After three full days and only finishing about 15 pieces, my shoulder was killing me and the shapes weren't consistent. I finally dragged my old 25lb Little Giant out of the corner, set up a jig, and finished the remaining 35 scrolls in one afternoon with perfect uniformity. Has anyone else had a stubborn project that forced you to switch up your usual tools?
